Current (2010 – )
I am currently responsible for marketing +/- 6 B2B large scale events (300-1,000+ attendees) in Europe, North America, Australia and Asia., namely SSON’s flagship Shared Services & Outsourcing Week’s and other events.

Previous (2005 – 2009):
Working with Global Leaders (specialist management and thought leadership events company) in 2008-09, I marketed multiple B2B events and conferences in the Middle East, after three years leading the marketing team for the company European and African event portfolio. The role involved building and delivering integrated, event marketing campaigns ($20K – $100K budgets) for Global Leaders’ public events and private, managed events, as well as driving corporate group sales, sponsorship and database analysis and development. Was responsible for:

  • Ensuring all public, thought leader events and private, managed events were marketed timely, effectively and profitably, within budget
  • Managing, implementing and analysing large scale, extensive integrated marketing campaigns
  • Consulting, reporting and communicating with top level management and partners, suppliers and other key stakeholders
  • Creating and developing strong, successful relationships with all of the above.

Pre-Previous (2002 – 2004):
Prior to the above role, I worked as marketing executive in the corporate marketing division for Hobsons Plc, a publishing and events company (owned by the Daily Mail Group) in London.

I have built a number of prolific, wide ranging sponsor, association, supplier and media relationships in various countries around the world, including SAS Institute, CIMA, Barclays Bank, Addax Bank, CNN and The Times/Sunday Times., executing campaigns which target a select number of VIP attendees for investor roadshows, right up to marketing large scale, three-day summits in Africa. Current research and interest includes adding and developing online marketing techniques, to augment traditional marketing channels, specifically seo, social, online pr, blogging and mobile. I have promoted over 20 public thought leader events and summits globally, as well as being integral to Global Leaders’ private, event marketing strategy, welcoming thousands of delegates and VIP guests to all our events.

Other Projects:
Currently developing and delivering the marketing and business planning strategy for Secret Trailz, a small, innovative outdoor adventure company which organises GPS Treasure Hunts for Kids on London’s Wimbledon Common, with plans to reach out to other outdoor parklands and scale up in 2010.
